A Prospector's Paradise

"Prospector's Paradise"

They were quite "Independent Pair" fer sure
O'le "Sourdough Pete" and his "Mule, Flapjack"
Reckon they'd cover'd many a mile, "Just Look'n"
Since they'd "Pardner'd Up" about "Ten Years Back"!

"O'le Pete," managed to "Scratch Out A Live'n"
"Placer Mine'n A Little Gold," here and there
He "Wore Out Many A Pick And Shovel Try'n"
But the "Mother Lode" was "Never There"!

They'd "Ramble Into Town" now and agin
Git "Restock'd" then back on the "Trail"
"O'le Pete" sort'a like'd be'n a "Hermit"
"Flapjack," was a "Good Listen'r, When Pete Spun A Tale"!

Pete says, "Flapjack, Each Day Holds New Adventures"
As he "Eye'd A Rocky Point" they hadn't "Tried"
He said, "Come On Flapjack, It's A Prospector's Paradise"
And "They Found Their Fortune On The Mountain Side"!
