Outside the Law

"Outside the Law"

Jud sit on o'le Buck and look'd toward the cabin
That ranch had been his home fer near twenty years
He'd start's work'n fer old Tom when he was fifteen
And now he could hardly see it thru the tears!

Strange how your life can change in a heart beat
They'd only gone to town fer supplies
O'le Tom said, let me buy ya a cold one Judd
And we can lean back and swap a few lies!

Well next thing ya know Tom spied a card game
Said, mind if we set in fer a while
That dealer's luck seem'd a might too good
Cause he sure haul'd in quite a pile!

Old Tom jumps up and says, you boys are cheat'n
Everybody's slap''n leather fast as they could claw
When that smoke cleare'd, only Judd was stand'n
A lonely cowpoke, forced "Outside The Law"!
