High Mountain Pasture - 1992

"High Mountain Pasture"

When they sent "O'le Jack" to the "Line Camp"
They more than "Made His Day"
Fer him that "High Mountain Pasture" was "Home"
Fer this "Old Cowpoke" that like to play!

Ya, he had to "Clean Out The Water'n Holes"
And make a few repairs to "The Old Line Shack"
Keep track of a small"Herd Of Cattle"
But, "It Was Always Worth Come'n Back"!

"O'le Jack" love'd that "Quiet Solitude"
The "{Wind Whistle'n Trhu The Trees"
The occasional "Deer And Elk" wonder'n thru
And have'n his horse "Buck" between his knees!

Now "Jack" didn't even "Own A Watch"
Cause out there "The Time" was no big thing
He always seem'd to "Work Things Out"
What ever "The Day" would bring!

He had to shoot an occasional "Cougar"
That manage'd to snag "A Calf"
But mostly he love'd watch'n the "Wild Critters Play"
Cause it made this "{Grown man Laugh"!

He had time to do some "Serious Fish'n"
Even lay back and "Watch The Clouds"
Ride "Old Buck" on some real "Scenic Trails"
Why, "Git'n Paid Fer This Shouldn'd Be Allow'd"!
