Celebration of Western & Wildlife Art Show and Sale

Join Fred Oldfield and many other artists that are truly -- The Best in the West. The Celebration of Western and Wildlife Art Show will begin when doors open at Friday, 12 October. Daily hours will be posted here when firmed up

The Puyallup Fair
7 September through 23 September
Drop by the Fred Oldfield Western Heritage Center where you can find Fred, signing books and prints and doing a palette knife demonstration each day at 1 p.m. On the weekends, take a seat and listen to the Rockin’ HW band play while surrounded by Fred’s paintings and artifacts.
Along with his art, one of the feature displays at the Fred Oldfield Western Heritage Center this year will be the Pike Place Market’s traveling Centennial display.
On Fri, Sat & Sundays the ever popular and well known Rockin HW will perform at the Heritage Center at 2 - 5 & 7 pm.
The Western Washington Fair Scholarship Foundation has an art scholarship program named in Fred’s honor. His support of youth and the arts is timeless.
The Fred Oldfield Western Heritage Center is located just inside the Red Gate, and is open year ‘round for classes, tours, special events, and summer camps. Lots of Parking is available in the grass lot across from the Red Gate. Red Gate is on 9th Ave SW . Puyallup, WA.

The Oldfield Heritage Fiddle Contest and Festival
July 20th and 21st
The Fred Oldfield Western Heritage Center Presents - The Oldfield Heritage Fiddle Contest and Festiva. This event has been coordinated with the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association, District 8.
There are over $1500 in cash prizes being offered!

Spring Fair at the Center
April 19-22nd
Come and visit Fred and Friends at the Center and then enjoy "doing the Puyallup" Spring Fair.

March 17th - Fred's 89th Birthday Bash
and Students Art Show
Come and wish Fred a Happy Birthday and enjoy some cake while you see the great pieces of work that the Center students have created over the winter. Noon to 4pm at the Center. Entertainment will also be provided by the Rockin HW Musicians and Poets and also County Singer Donn Allard.

Prime Time Senior Tour and Luncheon
Prime Time Institute is a program for active adult learners, organized by its own members, with college adminstrative support. Members enjoy stimulating, intellectual learning through short non-credit courses, discussion groups and social activities.

Saturdays in February: Exciting New Class!!!
Beginning Three Dimensional Drawing
This is a condensed drawing class for students 4th-10th grades.
The students will learn and practice using foreshortening, shading, surface, size, contour lines, overlapping, density and shadows to give our images depth. The drawings are cartoon like but fun and imaginative and increases our ability to communicate visual information.
