The Center is open Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 4 pm.

It is also open during the week for classes, tours and other special events, the dates and times of each will be announced.

The Center can be opened at any time by appointment.

Meet over 100 of the country's top artists as you browse over 20,000 square feet of art displays.

While browsing the displays you will also be enjoying the free parking, free show, auctions, free receptions, and of course...peanuts!

Lots of excitement Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 5 pm...

  • Wine and Cheese Reception - 5:00-6:00 - Partake and savor the Delicious Flavors
  • Silent Miniature Auctions - Begin at 5:00 - All pieces miniature in size, not value. Bid but stand guard as your friends will bid against you!
  • Quick Draws - 5:00-6:00 - Artists will create a new work in one hour. Circulate and watch as the artists work from their own display area.
  • Awards Presentation - 6:15 Saturday evening the awards for Best of Show and the Patron's Award will be announced
  • Quick Draw Auctions - 6:45 - Follow our roving Auctioneer, Steve Mitzner, as he sells the art in a Live Roving Auction
  • Sunday Live Auction - 2:00 - Auction benefiting the Fred Oldfield Western Heritage Center

Fall Fair - August 1st Through October 2nd


The Center will be closed for the Fall Fair from August 1st through October 2nd. You will be able to find Fred Oldfield, his paintings and many of the Center's artifacts in the Showcase Arena by the Blue Gate at the Fairgrounds throughout the Fair. The Fall Fair dates are Sept. 5th through Sept. 21st.

Dave Bartholet Show - June 7th through June 22nd

Join us at the Heritage Center, for a One Man Show, for Award Winning Watercolorist Dave Bartholet, on June 7th from noon to 4pm. Come & see Wildlife Art through the eyes of this talented artist. You may view Dave's impressive watercolors from June 7th through June 22nd.

FOWHC First Aniversary - June 22nd 12-5 pm

A Grand 1st Anniversary Celebration will be held on June 22nd. We are going to have all kinds of events and demonstrations going on:

There will be a SILENT AUCTION from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm. Among the many Auction Items will be some truely great artwork along with many other items INCLUDING a Fender Guitar. Not just any old Fender however as this one was autographed for us by none other than Wynonna Judd! Imagine how this item could improve YOUR singing!

The location is just inside the RED GATE at the Puyallup Fairgrounds, and the parking is FREE!

Art Show - May 4th through June 1st

Four exciting, powerful and bold artists will have a showing at the Heritage Center. A reception for Marianne Harlor, Joan Treat, Marlene Marczewski, and Gayle Shinstine will be held on May 4th from noon to 4pm. Come to the Fairgrounds at the Red Gate to meet the artists and view their latest works. Their show will hang at the Center from May 4th through June 1st.

Watercolors Workshop -- March

This will be a two day workshop March 19 through 20.

Althea Deuel is an award-winning artist whose watercolors and oils depict the landscapes of the Southwest and Pacific Northwest. Her paintings are exhibited at shows and galleries throughout the Northwest and reside in private collections across the United States. For more information see our Classes page.

This class will run one night a week on Mondays - March 3, 10, 17 & 24 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

Fran will teach using pencil, charcoal and advancing to watercolor. Teaching is only one of Fran's passions. She has taught Figure Drawing at the Evergreen State College & in the public school system. Fran is an accomplished fine artist and a popular mural painter..
