WOOD TURNING SHOW & SALE

March 17th – April 1st, 2012

The Fred Oldfield Western Heritage and Arts Center proudly presents this year's 1st Annual Woodturning Show & Sale. Woodturners are invited from WA, OR, ID & MT.

Get out of your shop and participate in the Fun & Excitement of the Northwest’s largest Woodturning Show & Sale. It will be held at the Fred Oldfield Western Heritage & Art Center on the Puyallup Fairgrounds at the Red Gate on 9th Ave SW.

Monetary awards will be given for "Best of Show" & "People’s Choice" & Ribbons for Honorable Mention. We prefer that all the Artwork be For Sale. All Proceeds will Benefit the Children’s "Experience Art Program" at the Oldfield Western Heritage & Art Center.

The Center carries Liability Insurance but you are encouraged to carry your own policy for theft or damage. The Center will provide "Please Do Not Touch" signs. (Please read & sign the Hold Harmless Agreement on the Registration Form.)

There will be a Reception on March 17th in conjunction with Fred Oldfield’s 94th Birthday Celebration ~ the Public & all the Woodturners will be invited!

General Information

CATEGORIES:
All forms of Woodturning will be accepted.

SUBMISSION FEES:
The submission fees will be non-refundable! There is a limit of two pieces per Artist and the fees are $8.00 for the first piece and $5.00 for the second.

COMMISSION:
A 15% commission will be charged on all sales. All Proceeds will benefit the Children’s "Experience Art Program" at the Center.

EMAIL INTENT TO PARTICIPATE:
Please email: foldfield@comcast.net with the number of pieces you will submit by Feb.17th! Please indicate if you will hand deliver or ship your artwork.

SUBMISSION DATES:
All artwork must be received at the Center by March 14th

HAND DELIVERIES:
March 11th from 12-5pm or March 14th from 10am-1pm.

Please enclose a return shipping label for artwork or shipping crate if your piece sells & you want your crate returned.

ARTISTS RECEPTION:
Opening Reception ~ Open to the Public ~ March 17th from 11-5pm

REGULAR SHOW DAYS & HOURS:
March 18th, 24th, 25th, 31st & April 1st ~ Noon-5PM
Mondays 10am-noon ~ Tuesdays 10am-noon ~ Wednesdays 2-7pm

CLOSING PROCEDURE:
Unsold items will be crated in their original crates & shipped by April 7th.
PICK UP: April 1st from 5-7pm, April 4th from 2-7pm & April 7th from 10am-2pm
