"Cold Indian Night"
|
"Little Bear And Running Wolf" were roast'n a rabbit As they huddle'd close to their "Little Fire" They' been "Hunt'n Game" for "Five Cold Days" And their "Weaken'd Bodies" were start'n to tire!
They hadn't plan'd on the "Sudden Storm" Their only "Blankets" were worn real thin The "Little Fire" help'd keep the "Warm" They were thankful for there was "No Wind"!
They had to "Stay Awake All Night" Because "Sleep" could be their "Deadly Enemy" So they talk'd of the "Buffalo Long Ago" Before the "White Man" had came to be!
They talk'd of "Antelope, Deer And Elk" And the spirit of the "Great Grisley Bear" The cunning and fierceness of the "Wolverine" And the "Playful Otter" without a care!
Their "Tired Bodies" want'd to "Sleep" But their "Will To Live" continued "To Fight" Just a few more hours "Til The Sun Comes Up" On theis long "Cold Indian Night"!
