The Fred Oldfield Western Heritage Center welcomes you to the 2007 Fiddler's Contest with over $1500 in cash prizes available to the winners. The judges lending their expertise to this event will be the well known and respected Vivian and Phil Williams and Drew Konzelman.
This contest is coordinated with the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association; District 8, and will be conducted over the course of two days (Friday, 20 July and Saturday, 21 July) and any fiddler is eligible and welcome to register and participate.
Friday, 20 July, will offer both an afternoon and evening Variety Show beginning at 2:00 PM and finishing up at 4:00 PM. Our Friday Afternoon Concert is a special event honoring Senior Citizens (55 years of age and older) and their cost is only $5. All others may attend but their cost for Fri afternoon would $7.50 and $5 for children under 12.
Friday evening's performance offers a discounted ticket for Senior Citizens (55 years of age and older). Costs for the evening performance are $7.50 for Seniors and children under 12 and $10.00 for all others. The Evening show will feature a well known band in concert along with the Rockin HW.
Saturday is the day of the Fiddle Contest itself and judging will be by Vivian and Phil Williams and Drew Konzelman, all of whom are well known in Fiddle circles. Seating will be limited so call for reservations early!
